A note of thanks from a parent

I occasionally get notes, cards or just scribbles on the edge of a piece of paper.  This is just a sample of one of the nice things that people have written to me and the Troop Committee.  I want to thank all those who have sent those notes, those mean more than you will ever know. Some days it seems a lot more uphill than it should be, to get these notes have been what keeps me going over the 40 years, THANK YOU!

Dear Mr. F,

They say it takes a village to raise a child,  while it is true my husband and I have been very blessed we were fortunate to have loving daycare providers for the boys when they were babies and they had wonderful teachers from preschool through high school. All of these individuals had a tremendous impact on their growth and development.

Today however we want to sincerely thank you and all of your adult leadership and troop 161 for helping us raise two amazing young men through scouting. The boys have been able to experience countless activities and learning opportunities that would never would have otherwise. Your dedication to the program is simply amazing! You manage a fine balance of providing guidance and leadership to the boys while letting the boys actually plan and run the meetings so that they can learn these leadership skills. Both of the boys are better individuals because of you!

Thank you!
