A Scout paying it forward...

Hey Mr. F, I wanted to apologize for not attending the eagle COH this year. I believe it's the first one I've missed since I starting scouting so that was a bummer. I also wanted to thank you for everything you've done for me over the years. I graduated from Parkside in December and I am getting trained for a position with Kenosha Human Development Services. They do a lot of great things like counseling for addictions, services for mental health and suicide, crisis intervention, and quite a few other things. I'm getting training as a crisis worker for juveniles right now, but the position I am going to have is a Sheltercare Teaching Parent. One other person and myself will be living at a home on second shift with up to 8 children (10yo-17yo). The kids will have come from different backgrounds, they all have different issues they are working with, and for whatever reason they have to be taken out of the home and away from their family for a little while. We will be taking them in as our own, taking them to and from school and events, cooking meals and eating with them, teaching them life skills, getting them to open up to us, and helping them plan for a future they may not of know they could have or even wanted. I feel like my time with you and scouting has really guided me to help these kids, and I owe it to you to let you know what was going on. If you need help with anything let me know and I will do my best to help out with whatever I can
