During the trip each of us came up with different sayings that fit the events, here is a list of them:

God made dirt and it don't hurt — Philmont Ranger Jeff Butts

Pee on a rock it causes less soil erosion — Philmont Ranger Jeff Butts

God made scat and I don’t eat that — Mr. F

Patience is a virtue of reality — Tim Wells

I see eating as a psychological endeavor — Scott Law

Pee on a rock, get some on your sock — Sam Kirkland

Eat enchiladas, squirtin for certain — Rob Law

Tired and wet and very upset — Rob Law

If you drink all your slurp, your gonna burp — Scott Law

In order to get respect, you must give respect — Original author unknown

Silver on the sage, starlit skies above

Aspen covered hills, country that I love.

Philmont here's to thee, Scouting paradise

Out in God's country tonight.

Wind in whispering pines, Eagles soaring high

Purple mountains rise against an azure sky

Philmont here's to thee, Scouting paradise

Out in God's country tonight

For food,

raiment

For life, for

opportunity

For friendship

and fellowship

We thank thee, 0 Lord

Amen

Thanks to the Troop committee for organizing this trip, we had a great experience!

Thanks to Rob Law who served as Crew Leader, and Mr. Falendysz and Mr Kirkland for serving as our adult advisors. Without these people we would not have had this opportunity.

THANK YOU!

This Journal is the work of everyone in the crew, thanks to their contributions prior to and during Thorns and Roses
