Here comes the Judge!
This Monday we will have a road show to Racine County Court House for a little mock trial with Judge Flancher. Here is the info Judge Flancher sent us….
I have made arrangements to use the 4th floor courtroom for the Boy Scout meeting on Monday, February 3rd. Please remind all of the scouts that I expect them to act like gentlemen.
Because the courthouse will be locked down, scouts will need to enter from the door located on the south side of the building off of 8th Street. There are parking ramps with some limited parking for drivers. I will be at that entrance by 6:55 p.m. to let everyone into the building.
If you have any questions, let me know.
Mrs. Flancher
A couple of things, act like Scouts is ALWAYS expected, so no need to say more. I would also suggest that you make sure you are at the meeting by 6:55, once we leave the doorway and move to the 4th floor you will NOT get in the building, sorry, so be on time. I would also highly suggest make sure you don’t have any knives in your pocket either.
PLC Meeting
PLC members, come to Monday’s meeting with your calendars, we need to reschedule the PLC we miss last week to this week, so please be ready to make a decision at the Courthouse meeting on Monday.
Wreath Dinner
We have reschedule the wreath dinner for our top sellers for February 10th at 5:15 at Infusino’s. For all those who were invited, see you there.
Want to save a life?
We are organizing a CPR training to be held at Wheaton Hospital the last week in February. We are collecting names of those who want to attend so we can finalize the date. It is highly suggested that those going to Philmont and those who need it for a merit badge this summer to sign up, but this is open to Scouts and if we have parents who would like to attend, we can add you to the list. This is going to be limited to around 20 people. We want to get a few of our Philmont people in, our Scoutmasters (required) and our merit badge scouts first, after that we will take others on the list. Last time we were able to accommodate all those who wanted to attend so don’t be afraid to sign up. If you would like to attend, please let Mrs. Kathy Andersen know and she will add you to the list. Her email is kla1012@gmail.com
Are you paid up on fees?
Did you get signed up for the Chicago Trip? Be sure to get signed up, you don’t want to miss a great event.
Philmont
All Philmont participants mark down February 18th for our next Philmont Meeting. We will be meeting at CBTL at 7 PM. We will be talking about the details of the trip including the gear that is needed and your training expectations. EVERYONE should be there, Parents are encouraged to attend as well. Also don’t forget to submit your payment. Anyone who has not paid up will be dropped from the list. We are at the point we MUST decide about one or two crews, as we have to submit our next payment to Philmont and cannot get it refunded so we are not submitting more money than we have collected.
Elections
This is YOUR troop, elections are coming up shortly, who is running? We will need those forms by next week, so be if you are considering running for election, be sure to fill out a form and turn it in next week or email it to me beforehand. The best way to get the most out of Scouting is to continue to challenge yourself and do new things, is being a leader in your Troop that new challenge?
Did you check out the pictures
Did you check the pictures from the campout last weekend? There are some good ones, be sure to check them out!
See you at the courthouse…
Thanks
That is it for this week!
