As I evaluate what a transition to turning a lot of things in the Troop to new users, it became apparent that we have a much more complicated system than the Troop needs.  We Google Docs, Dropbox, OneDrive, Troopmaster, mail chimp, remind, Quickbooks and a handful of other programs, it is just really a mess. In an effort to clean up all the different things we use to operate the Troop we are moving to a new utility program that can cover most of what we do in ONE program. 

Starting this week, we are kicking off the new Troop website and communication program   We are switching to Troop Web Host, The new Web page is currently located at https://www.troopwebhost.org/Troop161Racine/Index.htm. Please go to this site to see all the latest announcements and upcoming events.  Sometime today, you will also receive an email from the Troop with a User name and Password to log into to the PRIVATE area of the web page where we will have more of your information available at your fingers any time, the first phase is your advancement info, along with upcoming events and troop calendar.  In the future, may have your med form status, product sales info (might even be able to have an online sales sheet for weaths) and we might even move finances to your account as well.  Right now it is all in the development stage and we all have some learning to do, but I think once we get it off the ground, it will be a great tool for all of us. Please be patient as we work as a team to get this up and running. I also like to mention that this program has a very nice Phone app as well, see your phone app store a look for TWH or Troop Web Host, the same password you receive should work in the app as well.  Try not to lose your password when you change it, please write it down.  Scouts and parents will both get logins, scout, please talk to your parents about safe usage if it is ok with them, SCOUT accounts have access to different things than the PARENT accounts, so feel free to both login and sign up.

I am sending this email out both in the old and the new program, so be sure you get TWO copies, if you don’t (and receive BSB in the past), please look in your junk/spam folder to make it was classified correctly.
