WELCOME HOME to our Philmont participants!

It was a joy to see all our Philmont Scouts home safe Friday Night. I am sure that as they get themselves settled we will begin to hear the stories of the great adventures. Philmont is an awesome place and if you get a chance to go, it will be one of your best scouting experiences! Be sure to ask these scouts about their adventure! In the words of one scout, it was a “Life Changing Experience” It was just breathless!! Thanks to all the adults and youth leaders of the trip, both at home but more importantly on the trail. You all make Troop 161 Proud!

This Week…

Event: Field Games!

Date: July 28, 2014

Time: 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

8:00 – 9:00 PM Parent’s Pre- Lyle Meeting

Location: St. Rita’s

Uniform: Class B- Red Shirt

Cost: FREE

Program: Join us for the fun and excitement of soccer, tag, kick ball, capture the flag, or anything else we decide to play. Following the games, we’ll be preparing for our week at Lyle.

Pre-Lyle Meetings

Just a reminder that after the Troop meeting on Monday we will have the Pre-Lyle meeting starting at 8 PM. All Lyle scouts and at least one of their parents should attend the meeting. This will be the last chance to get any red Troop T-shirts before we leave for camp, so check your supply before Monday.

Leaders Pre- Lyle meeting

Also a reminder to the adults going to Lyle, we will have a meeting at my house on Sunday night at 6 PM. You should have gotten an email on the details. If you can’t make it, please let me know by Saturday night. Don’t forget your Youth Protection Training certificate and for those who still have not turned in med forms, must have those as well.
