Court of Honor this Monday
Don’t forget that this Monday is the Court of Honor, everyone should be there with at least one parent. Come and cheer on all those who have had some accomplishment over the last quarter, plus hear about the upcoming events! You can get your Court of Honor handout HERE. Remember the password is T161.
Wreath Money is due
Tonight it the first night the wreath money is due, please bring it with you to the Court of Honor. We ask that your parents write a check for large amounts of cash, it is safer all the way around to do it that way! Don’t have it all, bring what you have, follow up the next week with what you have left.
Money Flow?
For this Court of Honor handout, we have a lot of payments due, as we do every time at this time of the year. Christmas campout, registration, Lyle and a few more. The good news is if you sold a lot of wreaths, you also have some income coming in as well. This year we tried to spread out some of the payments to help make it easier on the family budget. We moved some of the Lyle payments to be a little later, as the Council has some later payment dates than in the past. Even with all these changes, I want to encourage everyone to think about the Personal Management Merit Badge and think about saving your money to pay for these events on time and not let your account balance get upside down. Maybe save your wreath profit for camp, and pay the smaller fees now. Scouts, you don’t know what to ask for, for Christmas, maybe you can ask your friends and family to help contribute to your camp fee. If you think about all the things you get for Christmas, what ones are you still using in July or August?? Think of it as a good investment in a great summer. Save up that Christmas money and use it for camp!
Wave Game Time Change
Due to being part of the Opening Ceremony the Wave has asked us to get there early so that we can practice before the arena opens for the rest of the visitors. We need to move the time up to 3:30 instead of 4:30 as the fact sheet states. If that is a problem with anyone, please let me know.
High Adventure 2015
Typically, we try to do a Philmont type trip every couple years, and the other years we do a mid-adventure trip (for 13+ or completed 7th grade), this year would be one of those mid-adventure trips. So we need your help deciding what we want to do this year, so think up some good ideas and share them with your Patrol Leader, we will be discussing them at the December PLC meeting, make sure you Patrol Leader comes to the meeting with some outstanding ideas, YOURS!!
Thanks
That is it for this week!
