Lock In

This week’s BSB is out a little early to remind everyone that it is Lock in this weekend. We will meet at St. Rita Gym at 7 PM Friday night. Feel free to use the doors on the North side by the kitchen if you wish. Here is the data from the fact sheet, as a reminder.

Program: We will be meeting at St. Rita's School Gym for our Lock-In. We will start out with some sports, then a little tournament action, maybe a little supervised dodge ball action or how about some Volleyball? The Gym will be ours through the night, so talk to your Patrol leader so your ideas get put into action. Not into all that sports stuff for the whole night? How about some all night board games? For this event, we are lifting the Caffeine ban (with your parents’ permission) for the evening, cause in order to stay awake; you might just need a little Mountain Dew. Come one, come all and be locked in for the evening for fun and fellowship with your friends. You shouldn’t have any excuses… You don’t work at 3 AM? You don’t have sports at 3AM? This event was planned for you, when all these distractions are gone. So what do you get for your money? We will have snacks, drinks and then a LARGE breakfast for all, served by the adults. Better come hungry, ‘cause it is going to be a BIG breakfast. You will need to refuel after a long night of activity.

Drop Off: 7:00 p.m. at St. Rita School

PICK UP: The Scouts should be picked up at 9 AM, then prepare for a day of sleep at home, cause there won’t be much sleeping going on at this event.

Monday

Monday we will be having movie making night, be sure to talk to your Patrol leader and find out what is going on, but if you do it right, you will be starring in a movie with the rest of your patrol, might even be able to work on a couple requirements for Cinematography Merit Badge. Menu planning is also this week for the campout in May, got that favorite recipe? Maybe tator-tot casserole, don’t think you can’t do them on a campout, you can! Be sure to bring your fresh ideas for your menu planning.

Signups

Did you get signed up for the spring campout, be sure to check the Event rosters on the web page and make sure you are on them. Are you on the Lyle Payment plan, there is a good chance you missed your Lyle payment, the final one was due last Monday, I forgot to remind people about it so be sure to get that settled up. Those invited to Leadership Training, don’t forget to get that in too.

High Adventure

High Adventure fact sheet was in last week’s BSB, you can find it on the Troop Web page, the goal is to have sign up in May, but you can turn in your fee now if you would like. We would like to get that planning done soon, and we need to know who is going.

Med forms

Med form deadline is quickly approaching, be sure you get yours turned in, the blank forms are on the Troop web site. Get them done!
