Shotgun Shooting
Time: 5:45 – 8:00 pm
Location: Racine County Line Rifle Club
Uniform: Class B- Red Shirt
Cost: $2.00 Due to a VERY generous donation by the County Line Rifle Club, there will be
no charge for 1 round of trap! The $2.00 is for a small gift of appreciation for our
instructors.
Program:
Learn to shoot safely. Scouts: You must be at least 12 years old on this date & be big enough to handle a shotgun safely. Shoot one (1) “round” of “Trap”, shooting at (25) clay birds. Includes birds, shot gun shells and the use of a range shotgun, if needed. Under 12 years of age on this day? No problem! The range will have air rifles and targets for your use, NO Charge. Please note this on the sign-up sheet.
All: You may bring you own shotgun if you make arrangements with Mr. F. prior to event. We will be using ear and eye protection, please bring your own if you have it.
Transportation:
Transportation will not be provided. We will meet at the rifle range. The range is located off of 7 Mile Road ~¼ mile East of Hwy 32 and just East of the RR tracks. Go east (from 32) on 6 Mile to Michna Rd head North to 7 Mile and turn WEST (left) (there is a gun club at the corner, but that is NOT the correct one) back to the railroad tracks, at the end of the road, there will be a gravel road to the right. Follow the long rough gravel road slowly to the North, through several gates, through the woods and past the red clubhouse (it is a long slow drive). Please follow the posted speed limits carefully on gun club property.
Can you believe it?
Did you stop and think it is already coming up this week to be the middle of July, the half way point for the summer is quickly approaching…. Some of you may have set goals to work on some scouting stuff this summer, maybe a merit badge, a rank advancement and for some, maybe even an Eagle Project? If you have not done anything yet, it’s time to start! The summer is quickly slipping away. Also a great time to start reading up on the merit badge work for Summer camp too! For our new scouts, maybe it is some of the lower rank requirement reading. Gather the stuff, put down the video games, and take a look at something you can work on soon, you don’t want to miss out on a chance to broaden your scouting adventures and knowledge.
Med Forms!
I have requested, nudged, warned, begged, pleaded and threatened, bottom line, no med form, no camp, your call. NO exceptions, I don’t make those rules, the National BSA does.
Denis Sullivan
The following people were signed up for the Denis Sullivan, Chris and Mr. Hanna, Kyle and Mrs. Mallum, Daniel Latyshev, Matt and Mr. Sisak, Dalton and Mrs. Yonkovich, Conrad Schotz, Kyle Koenig, Austin Lentz, Michael and Jonathan Kroes. Make sure you jot it down on your calendar for August 15th at 8:45. Five dollars each will be taken out of your account to cover the cost.
That’s all, remember, just a few short weeks till Lyle, next week is the pre Lyle meeting and we are also doing a family picnic and field games, so be sure to plan on attending.
Thanks,
Mr. F.
