Building the team

This week we will be doing team building games in preparation for the upcoming camp out, be sure to come to the meeting and enjoy some of the cool games and activities we have planned. We will also be doing the menus for next weekend’s campout. ALL SCOUTS AND ADULTS must fill out a waiver for the canopy tours that was not included in the Court of Honor handout. Please go to the TROOP DOCUMENTS and print and fill out the form and turn it in.

Campout next weekend

Don’t forget we will be doing the canopy tours next weekend October 9 through the 11th. We will be camping at Camp OhDaKoTa, and going to Lake Geneva Canopy tours on Saturday. Dress for the weather, it may be much cooler up in the air. Everyone should plan on bringing a raincoat and warm gear, it’s October and the weather can change pretty quickly and nights are getting cooler every day. Make sure you bring proper foot gear as well, they said either gym shoes or boots work, no sandals or loose fitting shoes. Do you have a GOPRO, you are welcome to bring that as well, but don’t lose it, you need to be responsible for its care. Are you not a big fan of heights, no problem, there will be plenty of low stuff too. It is going to be an awesome weekend, let’s get ready to go! Come to Monday’s meeting with some good ideas for your menu too, who can cook the best supper? Don’t forget to bring a signed waiver, otherwise you will be just a spectator of fun!

Scouting is fun, but cost some money

Scouting is a LOT of fun and we have some more great events in the horizon, but most of the good ones cost money, like next week’s canopy tour. A thrifty scout pays his own way, so the best way to do that is get out and sell those wreaths and earn some credit in your account for future events. Some of you got names of past customers and should be calling them. I have already had some people call me and ask if the scouts were selling wreaths, which means that not all the past customers have been called, be sure to get those orders, they are easy orders, some have been buying for YEARS from the Troop and are awaiting your call, they wont wait forever, especially if some really cute scout comes knocking on their door (if that isn’t you of course). Get out and sell wreaths, it helps you and the Troop.

Scout Accounts

Just a quick reminder, if you spent more than you had in your account this summer, be sure to settle that up, many of you did last week, but if you are one who didn’t, please bring a check this week.

Thanks

Mr. F.
