First off, THANKS!

I would like to thank everyone who has been so helpful the last few weeks. We had Scouting for Food, which required a lot people pitching in and helping on one or both of our weekends. Seconding I would like to thank all those who help set up and run the Troop Annual dinner a couple weeks ago. I heard lots of compliments from a lot of people, and all that goes to each of you who helped make it a big success. I would really like to thank some of the people who worked ALL DAY, from as early as noon to as late as 10 PM making it a big success. This year my work load was much greater than it has in the past due to some things out of our control and at times it took me to my edge, thanks to everyone for being patient with me in those challenging times. Also thanks to those who attended the event, it is important as a Troop we are there to recognized our great award recipients for their accomplishments. Congratulations to Kyler Krenzke on Eagle Scout, Jacob Oteman and Travis Miller on Distinguished Leadership Award, Gina Hannemann and Nancy Hardesty on the Wings Beneath our Wings Award and to Terry and Kim Williams for their recognition of MANY years of service to Troop 161 as they move into the semi-retired mode of scouting. Congratulations to all of our accomplishments as a Troop, you can find a copy our 2015 annual report in the document section of the Troop Documents online! Between the annual dinner and two weekends of Scouting for Food, it was a busy March! Thanks to all!

Advancement Night

Thanks to all those who helped with advancement night too. We had a good crowd there last Monday and we have more advancement at that night, than all we had during the last quarter. Keep chugging away on things and let’s get some more advancement done. Several of our Scouts need to know their patrol spirit items and many of the Patrols don’t have flags anymore, so the PLC has been discussion making that April 25th advancement night, a Patrol meeting night to work on Patrol Flags… Keep your eyes open about updates on this in the future.

Last call for Lock in

Last call for Lock in signup is this Monday, there are several people who may have forgotten to sign up that want to go, be sure to check the list online and see if you are on it, if not, don’t forget to sign up THIS MONDAY, we need to buy food, and if you don’t sign up, you won’t get the right amount of food.

Leadership Training Weekend

PLC members, don’t forget to turn in you Leadership Training sign up this week, need to make plans for things and get that rolling, hope to see all of you signed up.
