Troop Family Picnic and camp meeting

Time: 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Location: St. Rita’s

Uniform: Class B- Red Shirt

Cost: FREE

Early Payment: Still no charge

Program:

Join us for the fun and excitement of soccer, tag, kick ball, capture the flag, and anything else we decide to play. Following the games, we’ll be preparing for our week at camp.

Please bring the family. We will be hosting a pot luck cookout. The troop will be providing hot grills and drink. Please bring your own meat and a dish to pass.

Can’t make it for the dinner, then be sure to be there for the camp meeting, which will start at 8 PM. All families should be represented at the meeting.

Camp is quickly approaching

Hope all our scouts have looked over the equipment list and are starting their packing planning. There is a good comprehensive list in the Troop handbook and available ONLINE in the Troop document section. Be sure to print it out and check off things as you go. You don’t want to forget anything.

Advancement planning, for our new scouts, take a look at the outdoor skills for all the ranks up to First Class along with Totin Chip (wood tools and fire) information in you scout book, for our older scouts, be sure to get the prerequisites done for the badges you signed up to complete. The countdown to camp is down to single digits. Time for a great time at camp! Thanks to those parents who stepped up to volunteer to drive, looks like we have the drivers we need, thank you!
