MEET Time: 2:00 PM at Rita’s
Event Location: Racine County Fair Grounds
Program: Farm Fresh Fun! Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! The highlight of the afternoon will be the 6:00 demolition derby. Before the demo derby we will have time to explore the fair grounds. There are plenty of award winning animals to see, plenty of things to eat (some of them on a stick), and many ways to spend whatever money you wish to bring. Please bring money to match your appetite and level of entertainment.
Transportation: 2:00 pm SHARP from St Rita’s parking lot. The Scouts will be dropped off at their homes around 10:00 PM. Please have someone home to greet your Scout.

Camp was a great success, scouts got a lot of things done and we survived the heat and the storms. Now that we have had some time home, we can be thankful for all that we gained while at camp. We had nearly 40 Merit Badges completed and then a LOT of partials merit badges completed too. For most part, many didn’t do the prerequisites that were suggested before camp, for others it was an issue of doing different badges or adding some after arrival, so what do you do now??? While in order to complete the merit badge, the SCOUT (NOT THE PARENTS) will need to find a local counselor who will sign off on the remaining requirements. This can be done by going on line and looking up who does them locally, parents feel free to help your son, but it is THEIR job to do this. That can be done by going to Troop Document section and clicking on the Accessing Online Merit Badge Counselor document which outlines what you need to do. Once you have a name of a person, you may request your blue card from either Mrs. A. Mrs. A will NOT hand out cards from parent requests, only from the scouts. Scouts, you are getting older and need to take responsibility for this task. It is important you pick someone who is registered counselor in order to complete the badge, anything other than that may not be accepted. Not sure what you need to do yet?? I have posted the document online of what was completed AT CAMP with CAMP STAFF, if there is something you completed with one of the Troop adults, that is NOT listed on this report. Let’s get those all done, remember the deadline to turn in advancement will be August 29th, in order to make it for the September Court of Honor. Let’s get those last few requirements finished up and more forward down the advancement trail.

Make sure you signed up for all the things you want to do the rest of the summer. Some of you were not sure in June when you signed up for things and were going to get back to me on it, be sure to fill out the form if there is anything you want to do that you are not signed up to attend. Current rosters are in the document section of the Troop web page.
