Festival Clean up This weekend

St. Rita’s Festival Cleanup

Time: 8:00 PM – whenever (Come early and spend money)

Location: St. Rita’s

Uniform: Class B- Red Shirt

Attendance: Attendance expected by all!

Program: Service to our Charter Organization

Transportation: Meet there

This is an important part of our service to St. Rita for our use of the facilities and other things throughout the year. It is just a small favor for all they do for the Troop, we hope to have everyone there and at least one parent. If all show up, we can be done in a little over an hour or so. The church really looks forward to seeing us get this work done. Let’s make them proud to sponsor a great troop. See you there!

Monday’s meeting

Action Territory

Time: 5:45 – 10:00 pm

Location: Action Territory

Uniform: Class B- Red Shirt

Cost: $20.00 by 8/15/2016

Program: How about an evening filled with mini golf, bumper cars, mini golf, bumper boats, an arcade, mini golf, and a food court? If this sounds good, join us for an evening at Action Territory. Price includes a snack of 2 slices of pizza and a small soda. Bring additional money if you want other items from the food court.

Transportation: 5:45 pm SHARP from St Rita’s parking lot. The Scouts will be dropped off at their homes around 10:00 PM. Please have someone home to greet your Scout. Anyone meeting us there, please send me an email, those who still want to go, we might have room for you, if we have transportation. Please let me know in advance. Can’t make it, but sure to let me know that as well, so we are not waiting for you to show up, that cuts into the FUN time for all. Not going to wait long after the 5:45 departure time. Can’t remember if you signed up, check the list online.

Next week

Our FINAL super summer event is this week, followed by next week’s advancement night which is an optional night to work on advancement. If you have merit badges you want to turn in, be sure to get them done by next week. Let’s wrap up the summer with some great advancement too.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Jacob Oteman who completed his Eagle Board of Review last week and his application has been submitted for Eagle scout. Congratulations Jacob.

Thanks!

Thanks to Codie Hannemann and Jacob Oteman who staffed at Day camp at OhDaKoTa this summer as members of Troop 161, thanks for representing our troop well. Would also like to thank Matt Sisak and AJ Smithers, who attended the National Youth Leader Training (NYLT) course this summer to enhance their leadership skills. Thanks for being part of this course so that you can improve the Troop by using the skills you learned about in the week long training course.

While thanks are being handed out, I would also like to thank Mr. Sisak and Mr. Hanna who have organized all the great activities that the PLC selected for this summer’s events. We have done a lot of great things this summer. Also thanks to all the adults who provided transportation and supervision for all these events with the help of Mr. Hardesty and Mrs. Torres. It is the great teamwork of all that make it a SUPER SUMMER! Thanks to all!
