Extra

Usually don’t have a BSB when we don’t have a regular Troop meeting, but we forgot to remind everyone that this week Monday is a Advancement night and we have MOVED it to CBTL (436 Four Mile Rd). We will also be running the Movie HONOR FLIGHT, which explains in more depth what we are doing for our November 5th event. If you don’t know what an Honor Flight is yet, you will want to come and check it out, this is open to both scouts and parents. Even though the troop members will be allowed to do the main HONOR FLIGHT part, all are welcome to come and participate in the concourse activity, which is an outstanding event open to the public. Feel free to bring your favorite veteran with too.

The Lyle Legacy book has been released

Many of you know, that I have been heading up the Robert S. Lyle Legacy committee for the council and we have been working on creating a book of great memories of camp Robert s. Lyle. I am excited to say that book has finally been released for sale. You can go to www.camplylelegacy.com and order one online, the book looks great and they make a great Christmas gift, so if nothing else add it to your Christmas list.

The future of our southern camps

Thought i would pass this on, just giving you the info in case you want to know more out about our southern camps.

Camp Task Force/Planning Committee Updates

Three Harbors Council's long-range Camp Planning Committee has been working hard to create a plan for the enhancement of our two camps, Indian Mound Scout Reservation and Camp Oh-Da-Ko-Ta. The committee is in its final stages of planning, which means that it will be hosting several presentation meetings to share the proposed plan. At these meetings, Scouting volunteers will have the opportunity to share their opinions and suggestions on the proposed plan. These suggestions will be considered before the plan is finalized and presented to the council executive board for approval.

Anyone is welcome to attend one of the upcoming "fireside chat"-style meetings to hear about the current status of construction and the future plans for our camps. All meetings are scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
