Honor Flight this weekend

Just a reminder that this weekend is the Honor Flight. We will be meeting at St. Rita at 5:00 PM. on Saturday. Only the people on the list will be allowed in the restricted area, because we have had to gain extra security clearances prior to the event. Families are welcome to join the concourse area program, as that is open to the public. Remember all those going to be in the restricted area, we have agreed to wear TAN dockers style pants and either dress shoes or hiking style shoes/boots along with a clean (non-wrinkled) class A uniform with scarf and accessories!

Wreath Sales due this week

Remember SCOUTS, all wreath orders are due THIS MONDAY. Scouts, please bring your tally sheet to the beginning of the meeting so that if they can be reviewed during the meeting, so if there are any questions, we can ask you about it before you leave. We will have limited option to add more wreaths the following week, so do your best to get your orders all wrapped up by Monday. Don’t forget, if you cannot be at the Nov 19th pick up day, mark that on your tally sheet, so we don’t call you on that day to pick up your wreath.

Store Sales

We will be show and sell wreaths at both Kortendick and Kmart again this year, if you would like to sell more wreaths there, be sure to sign up for a sales session, there will be signup sheets available at the upcoming Troop meetings

Philmont Meeting

We will have a meeting next week, Nov 15th for all those who are going to Philmont next summer. We expect all scouts and the advisers of the trip to attend, parents are welcome to attend if they would like. We still have a couple spots open, if anyone is still thinking about going, feel free to attend this meeting. A reminder to all those who have opted for the monthly payment plan, those payments need to be made monthly (first meeting of the month). To offset the costs of Philmont, we would like to encourage Philmont attendees to make sure they sign up for wreath store sales. We don’t need to add more fundraising opportunities when we have these available.

Advancement opportunity

The Milwaukee Area Technical college is hosting a merit badge tech event. If you would like to check it out, go to http://www.matc.edu/scoutech/ Might be a chance to get that merit badge you have been looking to complete.

Leadership Training

Thanks to the older scouts who will be attending leadership Training next weekend, it is important to make our troop a successful, as the troop grows older, some of our younger scouts need to step up and assume the leadership roles, its great they want to be trained to be the best leaders possible.
