Wreath pick up THIS weekend
THIS weekend will be Wreath pick up We will be picking them up at Miller Park in the morning of Saturday the 19th. Once we get back we will sort the orders out in my back yard. Once that is done, we will call you when the order is ready. Seeing we will be starting early, your orders should be ready by mid-day, but as I said, we will call as we finish picking the orders. Never been to my house? I am on the NE corner of Middle Rd and Cardinal Drive (5817 Middle Rd but is no mailbox on Middle Rd). My driveway/mailbox is off Cardinal Drive.
For those who qualified for deliveries, we will also be delivering those sometime late morning to early afternoon, so plan on being home. The way I see it, the following families will get their wreaths delivered. (Koenig, Kroes, Lentz, Mallum, Miller, McGrath, Kroes, Svoren, Yonkovich) for having a combined total of $1000 or more in wreaths. GREAT SALES! Sorry not everyone can be first. The rest will be expected to come and pick them up on Saturday, if you are not going to be home or would like us to call a cell number or would like to make OTHER arrangements, just drop me an email. I will print them out and stick them with your order so those picking orders will have the information.
Want to sell more wreaths?
We will be manning store sales at Kortendicks and Kmart on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving, if you would like to sign up for those, ask about it when you pick up your wreaths OR contact Mr. Latyshev and get your name on the list. See the TROOP EVENT ROSTERS for the schedule, there are still some spots open. If we don’t fill them, we must shut down the sale at those locations, everyone is welcome to take more spots. Be sure to check the schedule for when you are supposed to be at the store(s)
Show me the money
All money for wreaths will be due on Dec 5 or Dec 12. You don’t have to bring the money till then. If possible, please have your parents write a check for all the funds just so we don’t have a lot of cash floating around on collection night.
Could use a few more hands
For the older scouts, we are looking for a few more hands on Saturday morning, we will meet at my house at 7 AM to go to miller park, Want breakfast?? Those who RSVP for breakfast by 8 PM Friday night should be there at 6:30, those that don’t, feel free to come at 6:35 and if there is food, we will feed ya. DRESS WARM!!! It is supposed to be windy and cold, and a few hours of that will cut through you quick. Dressing in layers is a great idea! Remember we will be handling wreaths, they can be sappy and have wires and such, don’t wear your best jacket and remember gloves are recommended.
Fallen Hero
On the morning of December 3rd at we will meet at St Rita at 8:30 AM we are planning on going to Union Grove cemetery to lay wreaths on the graves of fallen veterans, as part of the Fallen Hero wreath program. It is a great way to honor our vets, the program will only take about an hour. Scouts should be in Class A uniform; we will have a signup sheet available at Monday’s meeting.
Did you forget to sign up for the WAVE game?
Light attendance on the December 3rd Wave game so far, deadline was last Monday, we will hold it open one more week to sign up, check the list, there are a few people who thought they signed up, but remember, this came out AFTER the Court of Honor handout was published, so you had to take the extra effort and go to get the fact sheet from the web and sign up. Let’s get more signed up and cheer on the WAVE on to a victory!
That should do it for this week, see you this weekend! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Mr. F.
