Let super Summer begin!!!

Honor Flight

First thing of the summer will be the Honor flight, details are here

Date: Friday June 9th, 2017

Program: Honor America’s veterans by participating in an Honor Guard parade at General Mitchell International Airport on Friday night, June 9th, 2017. This event is open to scouts and registered leaders only. Parents and siblings and scouts who do not provide ID by deadline may attend, however, they will not be permitted past TSA security.

To go past TSA: Participants must provide their full name (first, middle, last) and copy of photo ID in advance (May 8th), also bring a photo ID with on June 9th. A school ID is acceptable. This information is required for a TSA prescreen of all participants. Anyone who does not have ID, Mr. F. has you covered.

Uniform: Class A Scout uniform, strictly enforced. Please wear tan Docker style pants and decent shoes. Dress in the best uniform you have!!

Meeting: 5:15 pm St. Rita’s parking lot.

Return: The Scouts will be returned to their home late Friday night. Scouts will welcome the Honor Flight home. Scouts could expect to leave the airport around 10:30PM, depending on the flight’s arrival. Might be slightly later. Please have someone available to greet your Scout upon his return home.

If you want to bring a deck of cards or pocket games (that can get past TSA), feel free, we will have some down time waiting for the flight to arrive.

Bike Ride Monday

June 12, 2017 Bike Ride Time: 5:45 – 8:00 (NOTE THE EARLIER START TIME)

Location: St. Rita’s Uniform: Class B- Red Shirt

Program: Join us for a ride around town. Be sure to bring your bike, a helmet (required) and a water bottle (a really good idea). A treat will be waiting for us when we get back to St. Rita’s. Interested in completing a 2nd Class requirement, here is your opportunity! You should be picked up at St Rita!
