No Scouts this week

But Welcome home Philmont Scouts!

Typically, I would not post a BSB on a week we have off but I would like to invite anyone who would like to come and join us in welcoming home our Philmont Scouts from their long two week journey from Racine, to the mountains of Philmont and back. They are scheduled to be arriving back on Monday on the #339 Monday evening at the Sturtevant Amtrak Train station at 6:15. That is if all goes well with the train and they make the connection in Chicago. They have a little less than two hours of overlap time in Chicago, but that MAY not be enough. I looked at the schedule for the last 5 days and the #4 train from Raton to Chicago has been running anywhere from 38 Minutes late to 4½ hours late, so it will really depend on how the train does with arrival. If they are more than 1 ¾ hours late, they will be on the next train (#341) which will arrive at 9:04 PM in Sturtevant. Needless to say, they will be hoping for the earlier one. Come on out and cheer them home! Besides the Philmont families, if there is anyone else who would like to be put on my text list for expected arrival time, let me know. You can also check with Amtrak online schedule to see the status of the train, or call 1-800-usarail and check how late Train #4 is in CHI, the Chicago to Sturtevant train runs pretty much on time.
