Map and compass work
Mr. Sisak is arranging a group of people who would like to work on the map and compass/orienteering requirements for Rank advancement up to First Class on Sunday. If you have not confirmed with him, be sure to do so, as of Friday morning he had no one cofirmed. This is a great chance to get this signed off in your book before the dark and cold of winter sets in. Anyone willing to help may also contact Mr. Sisak, he could use a few extra hands.
Wreath sales orders due this Monday
Don’t forget all wreath orders are due this Monday. Be sure to fill out your tally sheet and have your parents look over it to make sure you have the right number of Wreaths and the right sizes. Whatever you submit on this form is what will be ordered and picked for you. Remember also if you have mail orders, we need the address labels as well. We will be placing our order with the wreath company early next week so be sure your orders are complete. If you get a last-minute call for an additional order, we may be able to accommodate that with our store sales supplies but please try to make your initial order complete.
We are still looking for people to sign up for store sales, if you have not done so, here’s your chance to do it on Monday. This is a Great opportunity to earn some extra credit for your account for upcoming events. Don’t be afraid to take more than one shift. We still have lots of openings. If we don’t get it filled, we may have to cancel some of the time slots.
Wreaths pick up will be November 18, at Mr. F’s house. Those of you who have reached the goal of selling $1000 or more, will have them delivered to your house. Be sure to include your phone number at the top of your order sheet so that we can call you when it’s time to come and pick up your wreaths. For those who have deliveries, feel free to add your address to that sheet as well to help with delivery.
Who’s ready for another road trip Monday?
We will be getting a tour of the Racine Waste Water Treatment plant at 2101 Wisconsin Ave. on Monday, November 13. You should arrive by 6:45 so that we may start on time. It’s important that you dress for the season, as some of the activity and viewing will be outdoors. Tennis shoes or boots are preferred footwear, no sandals open toed or high-heeled shoes. Learn about where everything goes once it goes down the drain. All scouts should wear Class A uniform
December event announced
We will be going down to Chicago for a trip to the Shed Aquarium via the train. The fact sheet is located here, read up on the event and get signed up this Monday or the 20th. This is a great trip and you get to see a lot of fish and other underwater creatures. You also get to experience downtown Chicago and the train ride there and back.
