Court of Honor This week

Come and celebrate all the accomplishments of the past quarter along with let's kick off our winter program. See you at 7 PM at St. Rita with your at least one of your parents. If you can not supply a parent, a substitute parent will be provided. Using T161, Get your handout HERE.

Wreath Money Collection

We are wrapping up wreath sales, please bring what money you have to this Monday’s meeting. In the interest of safety, if your parents can write a check for the cash, that would be great, that way you are not walking around with a wad of cash and we don’t have a bunch at the end of the night too. We do have SOME wreaths left if you know anyone who is looking, I think we are down to 2 or 3 26”, cane, cross, swags and 1 48”. If you know someone who wants to buy one, let us know, and you can come and pick it up.

Illuminate IMR

Looking for something to do this Christmas Season, you might want to check out Illuminate IMR to be held at Camp Indian Mound Reservation on December 16th. You can find out more about it at Illuminate IMR

Merit Badge Work

There seems to be some confusion about Blue Card and Merit Badge work. It is EXTREMELY important you get a signed Blue Card and a valid counselor BEFORE you start a merit badge. The Counselor must be approved by the Troop before you begin. We have had several merit badges lately that were not signed prior to starting and that can cause you to have to redo the merit badge. The reason this signature is required in advance is that we need to make sure that the counselor is a current counselor and we (as a Troop) need to keep track of what merit badges you are working on. If you don’t do it this way, we reserve the right to refuse the Merit Badge work. This not a Troop requirement but a National requirement. If you are assigned a Counselor and have been working more than 6-9 Months on a badge, you may want to double check with the Troop to make sure they are still a valid counselor. Merit Badge Counselor terms are typically 1 year long.

Next weekend is the Shedd aquarium trip, we will be meeting AT THE TRAIN STATION at 6:30 AM on Saturday morning, Might check with the adults that are going and they may be willing to carpools!
