January 8th 2018
Happy New Year! It seems like a long time since our last Troop activity, hope everyone enjoyed the holiday break and got to spend some quality time with Family. Now back to the routine of School and Scouts!
A Big Thank YOU!
A big thank you from Mrs. Simon’s 2nd-grade class for our food drive. We collected over 230 items for the needy, way to go, we filled both boxes and then some. Thanks to all those who help meet and exceed the goal.
Christmas Campout
The most popular weekend campout of year is the Christmas Campout, are you signed up to attend?? If not, be sure to do so, you don’t want to miss it, it is a lot of fun both indoors and outdoors. If you cant remember if you signed up, be sure to check the roster on the Troop web page, the link is at the bottom of the page.
Wreaths Sales
Thanks to all those who sold wreaths either door to door or at the store sales. We closed this year up and will be distributing the credit shortly, and you will see the fruit of your efforts. Thanks to Oleg and Lena Latyshev for heading up this years sale, you did an awesome job as always. We are looking for help with next year’s sale, if you would like to help next year, please contact Peter Koenig.
Registration Fees
Don’t forget that registration fees will be taken from your account this month, if you would like Boy’s Life, OA dues or adult fees taken out, you must fill out the form to do so, those items do not happen automatically. All registered adults must be current with youth protection training, (within the last year) so if have not done that, we can not re-register you without that training completed.
Philmont 2019
We did it! We entered the troop in the Philmont lottery for a spot for 2019 and we were the winner of the dates 7/27/19 thru 8/10/19. Mark your calendars for this trip for all those who completed the 8th grade by June 2019. A deposit of $100 per person is due by the end of January, look for a fact sheet HERE. Sign up for a GREAT experience!
New Year’s Resolutions
Well hope you didn’t create many New Year’s resolutions, parents please consider one of your resolutions to be to help the troop operations more. We have several areas we need help with things. Please contact Peter Koenig with what you would like to help with.
Thanks,
Mr. F.
