This Monday

This Monday we will be talking about construction and engineering. Bring your construction mind cause we are going to be making some neat things. Will your patrol be the future structure engineers?? Also welcome the Cub Pack 161 who will be visiting our Meeting on Monday.

Service Bead

We will extend the Service bead for one more week to give you a chance to turn it is, we only got a few of them and there are more who are eligible to complete it, be sure to turn in the sheet. It is available in the Troop document section

Winter Fun

Well, the snows have been light this winter and sledding and have not been all that good, so we are going to where they MAKE snow to enjoy some tubing fun. Did you sign up for the tubing trip at THE ROCK? Be sure to get your fact sheet here! Sign up and join in on the fun!

Philmont Trip

We need seven people as a minimum number of people to attend Philmont 2019. We don’t have enough right now to fill a crew so if you are planning on attending, if you are in 7th grade or older, be sure to sign up, we need to fill the crew! Philmont Fact Sheet HERE

Campout Food

Please remember if you attended the Christmas campout and you ate food (which is everyone who attended) be sure you pay the patrol person back who bought the food, it came out of their pocket. If you did buy food and have not been paid back by everyone (even other campouts) please let me know and we can arrange to have it taken out of the scout account, no one should be stuck with paying for more than their fair share of food.

Christmas Campout and the BSB

Hope everyone had a good Christmas campout and have been enjoying their Christmas gifts. As part of last week’s BSB, we offered points for people who had a copy of the BSB with them and less than one-third of the group brought the coupon, does that mean less than a third of the troop is reading these? Let me know, are you reading them, how we can improve them or if we should even continue. Both Scouts and parents should be reading them so they are up to date on what is going on, there are some great reminders and sometimes even introductions to events via the BSB, they are important, but if this communication is not working, we should evaluate other options. Communications is the key to success and we want to be the most successful Troop we can! Email me your thoughts!

Thanks

Mr. F.
