Welcome to our new Scouts

Welcome to our seven new scouts from Pack 161 and pack 126. Boy Scouts is a great opportunity to take you on great adventures and learn some great things while having a lot of fun. The Troop 161 family welcomes you to Troop.

Court of Honor

This Monday is a Court of Honor, what is a Court of Honor, it is a quarterly event to recognize the advancement of our Scouts, a chance to kick off the next quarter of activities and this Court of Honor will include a Friends of Scouting presentation along with a presentation on Philmont Scout Ranch too. All Scouts and at least one parent should attend, but we encourage both parents to attend if they can to celebrate our accomplishments! We will also be introducing all our new Scout families to the Troop. Be sure to get your Court of Honor handout by clicking on this link, the password for the document is T161. This document is VERY valuable as it has all the info you need for the next 4-6 months of activities. Be sure to print it out and get signed up for upcoming events.

Annual Dinner and Eagle Scout Court of Honor

March 17th will be our annual Dinner and Eagle Court of Honor which will honor Matthew Sisak. Everyone should have gotten an invite to this event, if you didn’t, please let me know. The deadline for RSVP was last Thursday, but we will take RSVPs until the end of the Court of Honor on Monday. Everyone should attend, it is a great event to recognize not only Matt, but the many other accomplishments of the troop as well.

Scouting for Food

The Troop will once again be participating in the Scouting for Food that is being run by the Council. We will be doing that on March 10 and 17th, be sure to sign up for at least one if not both weekends. The sign-up sheet is in Court of Honor handout.

Thanks

Mr. F.

This BSB is published weekly, if anyone else in your family should be getting this, be sure to let us know what other email addresses we should add to the list. We try very hard to limit these publications to one a week and to outline important info for families to get the most out of Scouting, if you have any comments or suggestions on what you would like to see or how to make better, please let Mr. F know. Parents, please encourage your son to read them as well, they should be aware of many of things published in this weekly newsletter.
