Where is spring?

Monday meeting at St. Rita, 7:00 to 8:30. We had a bunch of people show up last week for the map can compass before the advancement meeting and several people who showed up for the advancement might itself. Way to go! Mr. Sisak will be doing the map and compass again this Monday for those who missed last week, but he asked we move it back to 5:30 instead of 6 PM, last week it ran longer than an hour, so if you are interested, see you at 5:30, he will be working on requirement 4a for first class.

Think Summer

Well, summer is coming, believe it or not, no really, it is. In preparation for summer, don’t forget your second Summer Camp payment ($220) is due this week, be sure to turn it in to avoid late payment costs. For a new Scouts, don’t forget, its getting time to pay up, at least the deposit if you cant do it all. If you want to know what your Scout Account balance is, refer to the last statement, one should be coming out soon. For our older scouts, don’t forget to sign up for Merit Badges.

High Adventure 2018

For our 7th graders and older, what are we doing for High Adventure this summer? Come ot the meeting on April 18th at 7 PM at CBTL to discuss our options, we have some pretty good ones to pick from, don’t miss it. Its your program!!!!

A Scout is Phyically fit

Don’t forget that all Scouts and adults going to summer camp MUST have phycial done for camp, and we expect it for year round activities as well. If you have not done so, be sure to get it scheduled so you have in done in time. We want to get all those by May 7th which is only a few weeks away.

Adult training

All adults going to summer camp are expected to take the NEW Youth protection training that came out in February, regardless to your prior expiration date, you can find that at my.scouting.org. It is highly recommended for all parents and volunteers.

Lock in

Did you sign up for lock in? Be sure to do so if you haven’t. It is a great evening of fun, you wont want to miss it. Looking for adults who want the brave the all nighter too.

Starved Rock

The May campout to Starved Rock is also quickly coming, so don’t forget to sign up for that as well. We only do a few campouts a year, you don’t want to miss this good one. Great time for our new Scouts to try out all their camping gear and learn about totin chip. Be sure to sign up.
