Scouting for Food
This weekend is Scouting for Food, we have about 1500 houses to drop off bags and pick up food next week, We will be meeting at St. Rita at 9 AM. Scouts should wear their Scout uniform, dressed warm, and shoes for walking.WE NEED YOUR HELP! Parents are needed as well. If you did not sign up, you can still attend. Please remember that safety is important. Some important things to remembers
-Traffic can be dangerous, please be safe and aware
-NEVER enter a house if invited in
-All scouts must be in seats with belts, no riding in trucks beds, tailgates, in vans with doors open or any situations that would be deemed unsafe for passenger travel.
-Remember buddy system
Annual Dinner and ECOH
Next weekend (March 16th) will be the Annual Dinner and Eagle Court of Honor. Potluck Dinner Recommendations, Each troop family should bring two dishes to pass. (10-12 servings each). NO desserts nor Mostaccioli, please. All Scouts should attend in CLASS A uniform. We will need help setting things up, thanks to those who volunteered already, THANK YOU. If you can help and didn’t sign up, we will start at 1PM on Saturday (March 16) in the School gym.
Just a reminder, BSB via Text
As announced during the Court of Honor last Monday, we have set up an option to receive BSB announcements via Text message. The service we are using is called REMIND, it is the same one that some schools are using for messages from teachers. If you would like to be on that list, you can text @T161bsb to 81010. This text message option will also be used for last minute cancellations and emergencies. These text messages will be limited to the same frequency as the current email system, ideally once a week. These messages are limited to ONE WAY, anyone who replies to them, will only come back to the sender (me).
Never too early to sign up for events, be sure to check your Court of Honor handout and get signed up for upcoming events. See you Saturday 9 AM at the Cascia hall lot and Monday night at 7 PM at Cascia Hall. Meetings end at 8:30 PM
