Collections
This Monday we will be talking collections, do you have one, bring it to the meeting and show it off, lets hear about your idea of what is fun to collect! See other peoples collections.
Elections
We were supposed to have elections this Monday but I forgot to promote it in the last BSB so we will be moving that to March 9th. OA elections will be on March 9th too. If you want to be a leader of our Troop and set the direction of the future, be sure to sign up to be a leader. Get an application in the file on the sign-up table or get on the Troop web page under documents
Annual Dinner and Eagle Court of Honor
You should be receiving your invite to the Annual dinner. You may or may not have noticed we did not request each family bring food this year. We are changing it up this year and we will be providing ALL the food, so you don’t even need to cook anything to attend. Please RSVP so we can get a good count of attendee’s. Don’t wait, do it now and get it out of the way.
Scouting for Food
We will be doing Scouting for food again this year on March 14th and 21st. This year, in light of being more eco-friendly we will NOT be handing out plastic bags, but we will be handing out door hangers. The door hangers will have instructions to leave out a bag on March 21st.
Hunter Safety
There will be a hunter safety course being offered at Shooters in February. Mr. Muro is one of the instructors, so if you are interested, be sure to contact him. Hunter safety is one of the requirements for a couple of merit badges, if you are interested talk to Mr. Muro, he can fill you in on the details
National Jamboree
National Jamboree is a collect of scouts from around the nation for a week-long experience at The Summit. The Jamboree will be held in the summer of 2021, read more about it at https://jamboree.scouting.org/. If you are interested, let me know, I will get you more info.
That is all for this week.
Thanks
Mr. F.
