Looking for talent??
Do you have the talent you want to share? Can you play a song on your musical Instrument? Can you balance a ball on your nose for 5 minutes?? How about telling your favorite joke, we are taking them all. Looking for anyone who has any talent, maybe its even that double-jointed finger, who cares. We are looking to do a Virtual Troop campfire/talent show for the troop. Here is what you do, with your parents' permission, do your talent in front of your video camera (on your phone, tablet or computer) and then drop it into this dropbox folder https://www.dropbox.com/request/scAUupgUDf3R3ZWGi3v4 and then we will sort thru them and pick some for the troop Virtual campfire. If it’s a joke, audio is fine too. If we don’t get enough items, Mr. Sisak, Mr. Kozlik and I will do our jokes, you know you don’t want that! Make it a family event if you want, let’s get some real entertainment. We all can use some good laughs! We are also taking stories of the BEST scouting event, maybe a memorable trip you went on with the Troop or others? Maybe the adventures of cooking at summer camp! As long as it can be told around a campfire on a scouting event, you can submit it. We would like to get those in the next week or two. You know you have time, we know you want to be a star! We all love to laugh, let’s do this! Got a good idea, but don’t know how to record it, let me know, we can schedule a zoom meeting and I can record it for you! If everyone does ONE thing, we can have a great show, maybe two!
Summer Camp
I have not heard anything new on Summer camp as of yet so it is still on, with all the orders issued by the state and more (camp is in WI but the Camp Freeland Leslie Scout office is in IL), this is an item that is still in flux. I know camp fees are due this week, but unless they push it, I am not going to push it just yet either. I know they are working to get camp up and running for this summer, but some of this is out of their control. I will keep you posted as we know more. Same holds true for medical forms, we understand that most doctors are not taking wellness exams patients at this time, so it is hard to get a camp physical. The Boy Scouts is very aware of this situation and may come up with some alternate plans to accommodate that as well.
Note, will have a Troop meeting NEXT Monday April 27th topic will be backpacking and Konrad is going to tell us about his Philmont Trip, the PLC will be scheduled during the next week
Stay Safe and Healthy and shelter at home but still be sociable! See you at the meeting on Monday!
Thanks
Mr. F.
