Chicago Trip

Next weekend, February 19th is our Trip to Chicago, remember that Chicago has a Proof of Vaccination requirement for all indoor facilities, if you are signed up for the event be sure to bring a copy of your card. If you don’t have one, please let us know you will not be attending. Here is the rest of the info

Program: Ride the Metra train round trip to Chicago. Then ride the bus over to the Museum of Science and Industry.

REMEMBER 1. Bring a lunch to eat at the museum or cash to match your appetite. We will return to the train station with time to eat at the food court. You’ll need your own money for food or drink during the day. 2. Chicago is VERY COLD in February. All Scouts should dress warmly including gloves, hat, and good walking shoes.

Face coverings that fit snugly over the nose and mouth are required for everyone ages 2 and older—regardless of vaccination status. They must be worn at all times unless actively eating or drinking in designated areas. Bandannas, gaiters, masks with vents, or face shields worn alone are not permitted.

Coat Check is available in a limited capacity in the Entry Hall. The cost is $3 per item to be placed in an individual storage bin so items are not directly handled by our staff. There are no lockers available.

You may bring in your own food to eat at the museum in designated eating areas. Limited seating is available at tables spaced for physical distancing.

Uniform: Class A Scout uniform

Meeting: THE METRA TRAIN STATION IN KENOSHA (5414 13th Ave) 6:30 AM. Please carpool with a friend

Return: THE METRA TRAIN STATION IN KENOSHA 7:25 PM. Pick up at Station.

Summer Camp

Don’t forget to mark down July 10-16 for summer camp, make your appointment for a physical with your doctor, and get ready for a great summer camp experience at Camp Long Lake. The total fact sheet will be coming out soon, working on a final price, and I think you are going to like the price!!!
