IMPORTANT NOTICE
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
It was brought to my attention this morning that one of the scout’s who was at our Troop Meeting on Monday has tested positive for COVID 19 (on 5/5). This individual can trace back the transmission to someone in his bubble who became ill (not someone in the Troop). While we have been following all CDC recommendations to the best of our ability, we feel we need to error on the side of caution and notify the entire Troop of the situation. Everyone has been doing very well at wearing masks during scouting events so we believe the chance of transmission is fairly low but if you have any concerns or symptoms, feel free to contact your physician.
While we hate to make the call seeing the scouts were so excited to be camping, we have chosen to cancel this weekend's campout to be extra cautious. While the event would have included full masking along with other CDC precautions such as sleeping one scout to a tent, we want to make sure everyone stays safe. We are sorry to make this call.
If anyone still wants to campout and use a troop tent and camp in their back yard and be part of a virtual campout, please let me know, if we have enough interest we can make that available. Need to know by Thursday night. We could do a virtual campfire, cooking demo, or even work on some advancement.
Monday’s Advancement Meeting will be a VIRTUAL meeting using the same link as we have in the past https://us02web.zoom.us/j/216722273. We will do breakout groups, including the discussion part of Totin Chip.
Thanks
Mr. F.
