This Monday
As the virus continues to float around us daily, we have concerns about the spread of the virus and other bugs too. Many of you have said you prefer IN PERSON vs virtual meetings, so we will resume to IN PERSON this week, but I want to put an extra emphasis on the request to all to keep all in mind when you make protection decisions. We will continue to require masks during the meeting, please do not come in without one, if you do, masks are available at the check-in table. Please wear it correctly. Be sure to clean hands, keep your distance when you can, and please follow other CDC recommendations, most of all stay home if sick. Hand sanitizer will be available but feel to bring your own. I would also ask that all not only be safe AT the meetings but to be safe outside the meetings. We have a few people who have some strong concerns about catching the virus due to personal health situations but also those in their families. As an example, I visit my mom in a memory care facility a couple of times a week and the idea of me taking it to the facility could spell disaster and I am very aware of that, so PLEASE for the sake of ALL, be careful. While it may appear to be just a GOOD cold for you, it may mean more for others. Besides keeping everyone safe, we want to be able to do the fun scouting stuff we have planned in the coming weeks. We have missed out on events because of the virus, we want scouts to have some good fun, social interaction and do it safely. BE SAFE! Right now, the Christmas campout is still on, but we will need each family to fill out the following forms from the Council Office. The health assessment form will be filled out on the day of departure for camp.
Event Signup
We have some cool events coming up, be sure to sign up for them to not only get in on the fun, but the discounts too! Remember a late fee is like having to sell an extra wreath or two to make up the value. We have the Klondike Derby, Christmas Campout, and the trip to Chicago.
That is all for this week! Stay safe!
Thanks
Mr. F.
