This weekend we leave for summer camp!!

NEW TIME FOR DEPARTURE!!! They have assigned us an earlier arrival time than expected so we need to move up our departure time, we will be MEETING AT ST. RITA at 10 AM on Sunday!!! Instead of 11:30. This is so there is a staggered arrival time at camp to make things work out smoothly. Be sure to pass the word to all!! Seeing we are leaving a little earlier, we suggest that Scouts bring a bag lunch to eat, we will eat when we get to camp or as we are setting up.

Med cards

Camp has requested that all medications have THIS CARD with them explaining the usage. As long as the doctor's signature is on the med form, you are welcome to sign it as a parent where it says the physician. All meds both over the counter and prescriptions need this card, it is recommended that all meds and this card be included in a zip lock bag.

Spending Money

How much?? That is always the question. Not sure there is a good number, but it depends on what you want to buy. There are both goodies and gifts in the Trading post, if I say $50 and the scout spends it all on junk food, that is a bad idea, if I say $50 and they buy a T-shirt and Pocket knife, then that may not leave them much to spend on snacks. I would suggest you have a discussion with your Scout and ask what they want to buy, and give them some guidance on how to spend the money. Once you determined what you want to send, put it in an envelope with your son’s name on it, make sure they are SMALL BILLS so it can be handed out daily. If you have a budget for say a knife or a shirt, feel free to put that on the envelope as a reminder of the agreement you and your son had with the way money will be used. The following have Trading Post credit from the wreath sales, Arndt ($10), Latham ($35), Lyon ($30), D. Pallamolla ($10), C. Pallamolla ($10), and Salchow ($55).

Pre Camp Assessment

Everyone going to camp must do a pre-camp assessment the morning of departure. If you do not have one to turn in before departure, we will do one at St. Rita. The link is for youth, I will include a link for the adults in the special email, but they are basically the same form.

Mailing Address

For those wanting to send mail, that address to camp is (Scout Name), Troop 161, N4350 Boy Scout Road, St. Cloud, WI 53079

Red T-Shirts

I have placed a new order for Red T-Shirts, so we have a full stock again, If you email by Saturday night that you want a certain size, I will grab it and bring it along, don’t need to carry the entire inventory of shirts to camp.
