This Monday

This Monday we will be doing some more art things. Don’t worry, it's basic art, we don’t expect any Picasso’s in the group.

Merit Badge sign up

If you have not turned in your sheet with Merit Badges for summer camp, be sure to do so this Monday so Mrs. Andersend can get you signed up. Some classes are filling up so you don’t want to wait too long.

Got Advancement?

Don’t forget if you have any advancement to turn in, only a couple of weeks before the cut-off for the June Court of Honor, be sure to get that turned in. It's always best to do that at the beginning of the meeting, as opposed to a rush at the end of the meeting.

Med Forms

If you have not turned yours in yet, you are officially LATE with your med form. Be sure to get those turned in, in the next couple of weeks so we can get them up to camp ahead of time.

Behind the scenes

Just a quick note about something that is going on behind the scenes. The Catholic Archdiocese of the Milwaukee area has announced to all units (including us), they will be terminating the Charter Partner relationship with all units on Jan 1, 2024. While the Church and St. Rita are very supportive of the program, their insurance company has requested this move. What does it mean? The Church has been a charter partner for St Rita since 1954, and for other units, their relationship is even older. Basically, they are the owner of the unit, they want to get out of the ownership business. They are still willing to allow us to still meet at St. Rita but they just would not be the unit owner. We are currently looking for a new owner who would be our Charter Partner, we have a few options on the table and both the Troop and Pack leadership are meeting to determine what is the best fit for all. Don’t want to get too deep into the woods on this discussion via this option, but just want all to know in case you hear rumblings. Don’t be afraid to ask questions if you have any. The goal of the committee will be to make this transition with the least amount of disruption and also look towards the future to make sure whatever we do, it will be a good opportunity for the next 60+ years. Also bring this up, if case anyone knows of any organization that would like to sponsor both the Pack and the Troop, let a committee member know, we will be talking more about it at our committee meeting this month.
